Description

Ashburton’s amateur sleuth Juno Browne’s reluctant visit to Dartmouth for her cousin’s birthday takes an unexpected turn when family friend Giles Challoner suggests he may be her father. Before they can investigate further, Giles is found dead. The police call it an accident, but Juno suspects otherwise.

Back home, trouble has a way of following Juno around. This time it takes the shape of Richard Nickolai, the estranged son of Old Nick, the man from whom Juno inherited her antiques shop. He is someone whose acquaintance she would rather not renew. Recently tasked with the delivery of a luxury car, Richard is now on the run from thugs over the car’s illegal cargo. When a second death occurs in Dartmouth, without a doubt murder this time and possibly linked to Giles, Juno must find answers to her questions, even if the answers hit closer to home than she ever imagined.
