Today, the arrival of our fabulous Morganville canvas bags (which we’ll be taking along on Rachel Caine’s UK tour very soon) made me crave more handy bookish things to carry too much stuff around in. And thankfully there is a wealth of choice out there on the Internet; below are a couple of my favourites (click on the images for more details). I have to say, though: there seems to be a lack of colourful book-related totes out there – I did look for something a bit more eye-catching, but couldn’t find much. Has anyone else spotted any literary designs with a good splash of colour?
I also came across this rather classier equivalent, the ‘book clutch’, inadvertently discovering a trend that until now I’ve somehow completely missed. Celebrities such as Natalie Portman and Clémence Poésy have been spotted carrying brilliantly quirky examples from designer Olympia Le Tan – see Stylist magazine’s feature on the collection. And if you don’t fancy spending an obscene amount of money on the real thing, click here for a great step-by-step guide to creating your own book clutch! Hmm, may have to go shopping for a book that matches this outfit…

Will the Morganville one be available to buy at Rachel’s signings?
Hi Sophie – Glad you like the Morganville bag! We will be handing a limited amount out for free at Rachel’s UK events.
