Mo’s Marathon

Of all the great things happening in April, I think I’m most excited about the London Marathon. 35, 000 runners will descend upon the capital and complete a 26.2 mile course alongside some of Britain’s greatest landmarks. My favourite runner, Mo Farah, is making his full marathon debut, not only aiming to complete the race but win it.

His training involves running a gruelling 135 miles every week. He might be training hard, but it’s still not going to be easy competing against the best distance runners in the world. Cue Wilson Kipsang, the elite Kenyan runner who broke the men’s marathon world record in Berlin last September in 2 hours, 3 minutes and 23 seconds – shaving 15 seconds off the previous record! This is definitely going to be a race to watch and I will be glued to my television, yelling, screaming and cheering Mo Farah all the way.

Will you be watching the London Marathon?
