Work Experience

Allison & Busby is a small office and vacancies do not open up very often, but we operate a work placement scheme for those who are interested in finding out more about publishing. No previous experience is necessary but you must have an enthusiasm for books and a willingness to learn. Placements last for four weeks on a full time basis. During this time you will get the chance to work across a variety of tasks and hopefully gain an overall understanding of trade publishing. A&B contributes £10 per day towards travel expenses for the full four week term.

In order to apply for a placement, please download and complete the Work Experience Application Questionnaire and Proofreading Test for Work Experience, and email them along with a CV and covering letter, stating the dates you would be available, to: susie@allisonandbusby.com

Please note that any CV applications that do not include a completed questionnaire and test will automatically be discarded.
