Description

Saoirse Muldoon has flounced out of the PSNI, launched a private detective agency and acquired a client list involving missing pets, imaginary ghosts and people who pay in gossip. Then a drug deal is murdered, another disappears, and Saoirse’s snooping leads from West Belfast wakes to evangelical fundraisers, crooked cops and a drug ring hiding behind holy smiles. With her best mate overinvested in camera surveillance, her ma Maureen tracking her movements and half of Belfast warning her to mind her own business, Saoirse does what she does best: absolutely not that. Solving this case could make her career. It could also get her killed – assuming the disguises, a ‘borrowed’ police dog and raging hangover don’t finish her first.
A Holy Show is a wickedly funny crime caper about loyalty, corruption and one woman’s heroic inability to leave well enough alone.
