Author Mike Ripley could get the Last Laugh

Angels Unaware is the latest book in Ripley’s acclaimed comic crime series featuring private detective Fitzroy Maclean Angel. This time he finds himself dealing with an unexpected case, as well as a new born baby…

CrimeFest is the International Crime Fiction Convention in Bristol, taking place this year from 14-17 May. The shortlist was compiled by votes from leading crime fiction reviewers and all delegates attending CrimeFest have until the 1st of May to vote for the winning title. The winner will be announced on 16 May at the CrimeFest Gala Dinner/

Alongside Angels Unaware the other titles vying for the prize are:

The £1,000 prize is sponsored by Goldsboro Books, and the winner also receives a piece of commemorative glass courtesy of Bristol Blue Glass.
