TELEVISION AND PUBLISHING DEALS ANNOUNCED FOR BESTSELLING SLEUTH MAISIE DOBBS

SLAM TV has acquired the option to develop a TV series based on the Maisie Dobbs historical mysteries by award-winning New York Times bestselling author Jacqueline Winspear. SLAM TV is a new UK-based production company headed by actors Stephen Mangan (Episodes) and Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead).

Psychologist/Investigator Maisie Dobbs, whose adventures have taken readers from the battlefields of the Great War to the chaos of 1937 Spain has featured in eleven books by Winspear, the latest, A Dangerous Place, published in the UK in April 2015 was an instant New York Times bestseller. “An outstanding historical series … a heroine to cherish.” The New York Times Book Review. Allison & Busby Ltd publish nine of the Maisie Dobbs novels in the UK. Amy Rennert of The Amy Rennert Agency represented Jacqueline Winspear in the deal.
