Dennis Glover

Dennis Glover was educated at Monash and Cambridge universities and has made a career as one of Australia’s leading political speechwriters. He is the author of several fiction and non-fiction works. His first novel, The Last Man in Europe, which tells the dramatic story of George Orwell’s struggle to write Nineteen Eighty-Four, was published around the world and listed for several major literary prizes, including the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. He lives in Melbourne with his partner and two children.
