Stephanie Austin at Okehampton Bookfest

Thursday 14th September
7pm – 10pm Meet the authors. Stephanie Austin and A J McKenzie will be sharing their ‘murderous’ writing journeys with us and reading from their latest books. Rebecca Tope will be sharing her biography of Sabine Baring-Gould, a collector of folk songs from Devon and Cornwall. Wren music will also be entertaining us with a selection of Baring-Gould folksongs. The authors’ books will be on sale. Refreshments provided by the Friends of Okehampton Library. £7.
Stephanie Austin writes a contemporary crime series set in the Dartmoor town of Ashburton, featuring amateur sleuth and reluctant antiques dealer, Juno Browne. She turned to crime writing on retiring from a meandering career which included work as a teacher, artist, astrologer, dealer in antiques and crafts, as well as for the Devon School Library Service. Her seventh book comes out in November. www.stephanieaustin.co.uk
