Description

Dean McAdam, a witty and streetwise teenager, is recovering from an horrific car crash which killed his mother, pitched his sister into a permanent vegetative state, and left him paralysed from the waist down. Dean nurtures a fierce ambition to become a microbiologist; to this end he converts five floors of a semi-derelict tower block into a zoo and experiments with evolutionary genetics. This is the story of a month in his life.
