World Book Day is back!

Wednesday, March 4th, 2015

This Thursday welcomes back World Book Day! Many of us will remember being given our £1 book tokens while at school. For me, it is incredibly nostalgic. This year children’s laureate Malorie Blackman, perhaps best known for her ‘Noughts and Crosses’ series is to launch WBD Teenfest (wbdteenfest.com).

The site will be live from 4th-5th March and will feature interviews, how-tos, prizes and more hosted by famous authors such as Marcus Sedgwick and E. Lockhart. Users will also have the opportunity to chat online with other readers and writers: a booklover’s dream.

I am very tempted to honour this day by dressing up as a book character. Fortunately for me there are many websites that have posted last-minute ideas to help me out. I guess my colleagues will have to wait and see what tomorrow brings…

    Mad Girl by Bryony Gordon

Ailsa: I challenged myself to read more non-fiction this year. Bryony writes about her lifelong struggle with OCD, and I'm finding the book really interesting.
