Wednesday Cover Story: Sneak preview of Alice’s Girls cover

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Here’s a sneak-peek at the upcoming cover to Alice’s Girls (out in hardback March 2011) – the third book in a series about a group of Land Girls on a Devonshire farm. Written by Julia Stoneham, whose mother ran a Land Army hostel in Devon, the book follows Muddy Boots & Silk Stockings and The Girl at the Farmhouse Gate.

This week has seen the return of the award-winning drama Land Girls to BBC1 (Mon-Fri, 2.15pm) so when I spotted the mock-up design for Julia Stoneham’s new book today I thought it would be rather timely to share a little preview with you now! (Do bear in mind that our Art Editor, Christina, is still working on it, but you can at least get the general idea!)

Going Too Far, by Catherine Alliott. Susie: I rarely read 'girly' books but came across Alliott a few years ago. I've read 3 of her books thus far, and was delighted to spot this one for 30p in a charity shop. I've not opened it as yet but am hoping for another witty, grown-up, middle-class romcom, with lots of 4x4s and country houses!
