WANTED: Ideas for a Big Birthday Surprise!

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Next year my grandad will reach the grand old age of ninety. To celebrate, we want to do something special for him – something really memorable – and we’ve been racking our brains trying to come up with some ideas.

Thing is, my grandad isn’t your average 89-year-old: he recently passed the advanced driving course (the one police drivers have to pass) and is thought to be the oldest person to do so; he’s flown in a hot air balloon and, for his last birthday, he piloted a plane for the first time (he worked as an aeroplane engineer during the war but never had the chance to fly them, and was over the moon when he finally came back down to earth after his lesson!).

So if anyone has any ideas of other memorable experiences or a special present we could get him, please let me know! All ideas welcomed!
