Savvy in the sales

Monday, January 11th, 2010

I love shopping. To a shopaholic girl, the temptation to spend, spend, spend in the January sales bonanza can be a devil to resist – and very hard-going on my not-exactly-bulging purse. Some of my recent, perhaps not so clever purchases include a new dress that’s so fancy I’ll probably never wear it, and a Tommy Hilfiger belt that a friend said looked more like a collar Gromit might wear. Hmm…

Enter Martin Lewis, the money-saving guru. A quick look around his website MoneySavingExpert.com tells me where the best discounts are on the high street, how to get cheap beauty deals and even has printable shopping vouchers and discounts for meals out. He might not be able to stop me making bad shopping decisions, but at least I won’t spend as much on them!
