Morganville Vampires: The Big Picture…

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

There’s nothing I like more than a visit to the cinema. Big comfy seat, a bag full of my vice of choice (chocolate covered raisins) and a story unfolding on a huge screen – perfect. However, I might be slightly odd in that my favourite part of the cinema experience is usually the 20 minutes after I’ve sat down. I haven’t quite grown out of the excitement of the ‘coming soon’ or sneak peaks involved with trailers and, to be honest, a good trailer is easier to make than a good 90 minute movie, so I’m unlikely to be as disappointed in the trailers as I might be by the main event.

I’ve also been watching the proliferation of book trailers recently (favourite – the eye-popping experience that was the Withering Tights trailer) and now we are proud to present a visual treat for Morganville fans – check this out!
(I particularly love the clip of the guy that bears more than a passing resemblance to actor Stuart Townsend…)

Does it tally with your picture of Morganville?

Going Too Far, by Catherine Alliott. Susie: I rarely read 'girly' books but came across Alliott a few years ago. I've read 3 of her books thus far, and was delighted to spot this one for 30p in a charity shop. I've not opened it as yet but am hoping for another witty, grown-up, middle-class romcom, with lots of 4x4s and country houses!
