The new theatre production of Bill Naughton‘s most celebrated novel, Alfie, will be touring theatres across the country, starting at the Octagon Theatre Bolton on 19 January – 18 February. The show will then move on to New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme (22 February – 22 March), Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough (20 – 31 March), Dukes in Lancaster (3 – 7 April), and Oldham Coliseum Theatre (11 – 28 April). The new paperback release Hotel on the Corner of BItter and Sweet, by Jamie Ford, is still riding high on the Small Publishers Bestsellers List, down from the #1 spot, but holding strong at #2 this week. And Blood on the Line, by Edward Marston, the latest paperback in the hugely popular Railway Detective series, is climbing up the charts and now sitting at #5.
