Brought up on a farm near West Hoathly, Sussex, MICHAEL WALE has always remained interested in agriculture and the countryside despite many years of living and working in London, as a TV and radio presenter, and journalist. As well as a successful career in sports journalism, he has written about many environmental issues, contributing to many publications including the Financial Times Magazine, Farm Life and Business Management Today, and The Times. He is also actively involved in preserving allotment sites around London. He is the coxman at the Hammersmith Rowing club, and lives in Shepherds Bush, West London.
