Author Cath Staincliffe

CATH STAINCLIFFE was raised in Bradford. After graduating with a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts from Birmingham University she moved to Manchester, which provides a strong background for her stories. Her debut novel, Looking For Trouble, was short-listed for the Crime Writers Association's John Creasey Award for Best First Crime novel. She is the author of the very popular Sal Kilkenny series and her work has been serialised on Woman's Hour. She is also a scriptwriter and the creator of ITV’s Blue Murder starring Caroline Quentin as well as being a founding member of the Murder Squad - a group of Northern crime writers who give readings, talks, signings around the country, including fellow A&B authors Stuart Pawson and Martin Edwards. She lives in Bradford with her partner and their three children.
